This June, I hosted a competition math prep camp for elementary and middle schoolers that achieved two goals: enhancing problem-solving skills in students and supporting our community. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees, I have raised over $1,000 for school supplies benefiting Boyd Elementary, a Title 1 school in downtown Atlanta. This is the third year I have been running the school supplies drive. While the first two years of the drive were supported by generous donations from my community, this year's drive was completely funded by the math prep camp.
On July 31st, I had the pleasure of delivering notebooks, pencils, and folders to over 400 Boyd students. This gesture ensures these young learners have the tools they need to succeed in the current school year.
To everyone who participated in this initiative: your contributions have made a tangible difference in our community. Thank you for showing that the love of learning extends far beyond equations and should never be limited by a student's access to resources!
