Hello! I want to share a wonderful opportunity for girls interested in STEM, particularly math and computer science. The Math and AI 4 Girls (MA4G) is a nonprofit organization that hosts an annual competition to support middle school girls exploring STEM fields. This competition is completely free to enter, and it has great prizes, including cash awards for the top 20 girls and $1,000 for the winner! There is also some awesome merchandise for the top 50 competitors. Participants will have the opportunity to be a part of a great community, with potential mentorships from older role models and an opportunity to serve on the competition committee.
I was a participant in this competition two years ago, placing 16th overall. Since then, I have volunteered on the Problem Set Team and I now serve as the Lead Technical Officer for MA4G. This event is a wonderful competition that exposes STEM-oriented girls to challenging, yet still exciting, problems. As a math competitor, I enjoyed the inclusive environment MA4G created and the talented girls I have met. This competition is a great opportunity for middle school girls to dive deeper into STEM concepts while overcoming barriers in such fields.
At the end of this post is a flyer with more information about the competition. If there are any questions, my inbox is always open!
